Sherwood United Methodist Church

Greetings! I am glad to welcome you on behalf of Sherwood United Methodist Church and our Lord Jesus Christ. We are a church devoted to reaching new people with the love of Jesus Christ. It is In Christ that we find the purpose, meaning, and hope for our lives.

Sherwood United Methodist Church exists so that people may know that they Belong. Belonging means finding a place within Christ and within the church which welcomes you just as we are!

Once a person knows they belong here, we invite them on a journey to Believe the incredible offer of forgiveness and new live in Christ Jesus. We have a variety of Life Groups to encourage growth in the life of faith.

Finally, we are people who believe that in Christ we have the opportunity to Become the person God created us to be. We love to see how Christ shapes is in love.

SUMC has recently upgraded it’s site to run blogware. Blogware is a type of software used to power blogs, which are most commonly used as internet journals. SUMC chose this type of site for its user-friendly interface, simplicity, and ease of use. It takes us much less time to update this site, so updates will come more frequently.

The main page of this site is the blog. You are most likely on this page now. It is used to show important news, as well as other information about the church. The other pages of the site are accesable by clicking on the navagation bar below the header at the top of the page.

Our church newsletter will soon become available on the site. When it does, a post will come out on our home page telling you so, as well as a mass e-mail, if your address is on file with our church. All archived newsletters will then be available here. The newsletter will be uploaded using Microsoft Word. Please e-mail Jake here if your computer does not support Word.
